Frequently Asked Questions
Are HOA dues mandatory?
The homeowners dues are voluntary. Neighbors who contribute annual dues have their monies pooled and resourced to pay to uplight the 10 neighborhood monuments, keep the landscaping freshened, and the bricks cleaned and painted. Insurance, taxes and misc. other fees are also paid. Along with these necessities, the Clemmons West Homeowners Association hosts many events throughout the year that add enjoyment to the many who live within its boundaries, along with a new neighbor welcome gift provided by the HOA.
What is the role of the Clemmons West Homeowners Association (HOA)
The Clemmons West Homeowners Association (CWHOA) was formed in the 1980's as a voluntary homeowners association. Our mission is to operate as a non-political, non-sectarian, and non-profit community organization to protect, sustain, and maintain property values in Clemmons West, and to seek improvement of services as may be deemed necessary along with promoting the health, safety, and welfare of the Community. Communities with healthy, active HOAs maintain their property values and increase resident satisfaction.
What is the HOA Board?
A volunteer group of neighbors who are elected to make decisions regarding the administration, management and operations of matters pertaining to the neighborhood.
How are HOA board members elected?
HOA board members are typically elected by the community's homeowners as positions are vacated, usually at the November annual HOA meeting. The election process, including nomination procedures and voting, is outlined in the HOA's governing documents. Homeowners are encouraged to participate in the election process and consider serving on the board to contribute to the community's decision-making process.
How can I get involved in the HOA?
There are several ways to get involved in the HOA. You can attend board meetings, join committees or volunteer for community events. Additionally, you can run for a position on the board during elections. Active participation allows you to have a voice in shaping the community and fostering a sense of belonging. Our neighborhood only works through the volunteer contributions of our HOA members, so thank you for asking how you can help!
